The preposition (lī)– حرف الجر " لِـ "

  • The preposition (li) is commonly used in Arabic, and it has different meanings in various structures. The original meanings of (li) are as follows:





The house is of Saeed, and the flat is of Khalid

الدَّارُ لِسَعِيدٍ، والشَّقَّةُ لِخَالِدٍ


Nasser went to the mosque

ذَهَبَ ناصِرٌ لِلْمَسْجِدِ


Oh Khalid, help Said

يا لَخالِدٍ لِسَعِيدٍ
