The meanings of the prepositions - معاني حروف الجر
The preposition (min)– حرف الجر " مِنْ "

- The original meaning of (مِنْ /min/) is the circumstantial meaning (from) as: (خَرَجْتُ مِنَ الغُرْفَةِ I exited from the room). The following table shows more structures in which (min) is used with the circumstantial meaning (from):
