In this lesson In-Shā’-Allâh, we will learn the Maqŝūr Noun, which is a noun ending with a long alif /-ā/ (typically preceded by a fatћah) that cannot be omitted, such as مُصْطَفَى /muŝŧafā/, مُسْتَشْفَى /mustashfā/, هُدَى /hudā/, فَتَى /fatā/, etc.
We will also learn the types of the Maqŝūr Noun, depending on the number of its letters (three letters or more); how to form the dual and plural forms of each type of Maqŝūr Noun; and the declension of the Maqŝūr Noun and whether the declension signs appear on its case-ending or not.
