1. Does this site cover Classical or Modern Standard Arabic?

The course is being designed to cater for the needs of both those seeking to learn Classical and those seeking to learn Modern Standard Arabic.  One of the more fundamental differences between Classical and Modern Standard Arabic is the vocabulary.  The rules and principles that we cover within the course will be equally applicable to both forms of Arabic and beneficial to students of both forms.  We have also kept a balance in the structure of the course to ensure those wishing to understand classical texts can benefit as well as those wishing to learn Arabic for daily usage - hence the majority of the vocabulary used will be applicable for daily conversational use.

A good article highlighting the major differences between Classical and Modern Standard Arabic is below:

3. I do not have regular access to the internet, can I download the website?

We have decided that we will allow users to purchase a CD with the website for offline use at an affordable price from our bookshop.  Downloading of the website is not possible due to the size and complexity of the website.  Please click here to view details of the CD

4. Is it possible to receive a printed copy of the website?

At this stage we do not have the website available in printed form.  This is something we are considering providing in the future in terms of a published manual or book via the bookshop section.  Please send an email to notify@madinaharabic.com with the Subject: "Printed book" and enter the email(s) to be notified of the availability of this product.

5. I would like to contribute to the site, please let me know how I could do this?
