(٧) ΗαϊΟσΡϊΣυ ΗαϊΣσΗΘφΪυ - Lesson

Lesson 7 - Καί - 'That is..'

  • In this part of Lesson No. 7 we will learn another pronoun Καφίσ is for the feminine nouns which means 'That for non humans and she for the human beings' (called a demonstrative pronoun in grammar).  Tilka follows the same principles as followed by Dhalika and is used to refer to objects that are farther away whereas hadhihi is used to refer to objects that are closer.

  • The demonstrative pronouns are called (ΗαΓΣϊγσΗΑ ΗαΕΤΗΡΙ) in Arabic language and have two types:

  1. The pronouns which refer to the near objects like εσάΠΗ and εσάΠφεφ meaning (this for masculine and feminine respectively) are called ΗαΓΣϊγσΗΑυ ΗαΕΤσΗΡσΙυ ΗαϊήσΡφνϊΘσΙυ and

  2. The pronouns which refer to the distant objects like Πσαφίσ and Κφαϊίσ meaning (that for masculine and feminine respectively) are called ΗαΓΣϊγσΗΑυ ΗαΕΤσΗΡσΙυ ΗαϊΘσΪφνϊΟσΙυ.
